Position Description

A recognized nonprofit services organization in Brooklyn, New York, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at one of its residential facilities, providing support in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm
  • Setting: Residential Facility

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting a Registered Nurse in coordinating healthcare services
  • Maintaining progress notes and health records
  • Providing health care and hygiene instructions
  • Managing communicable diseases and infection control
  • Administering first aid when necessary
  • Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of Nursing experience
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing program
  • NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Experience with individuals with Developmental Disabilities
  • Knowledge of health-related equipment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Trach and G-tube Care
  • CPR certification
  • Proficiency in Infection Control
